When it comes to Jasmine’s family in Panama, she has two sisters, Zuellen Higuera and Liz, and she has even funded their education. She herself is well educated, having earned seven degrees. She shared a deeply personal message about raising her daughter, Matty, who is half Black, and the responsibility that comes with it. The celeb made a collage of Matilda and herself and discussed how her daughter had half-Black roots.
Jasmine wrote, “Raising a daughter who is half Black means raising her to know her worth, her beauty, and her strength.” She admitted that her daughter might have to one day explain her ethnicity. So, she is raising Matty in a way that whenever she has to talk about her background, she will explain it with pride and confidence.

Several viewers took to the comments section and praised Pineda for having a positive approach. Apparently, when it comes to Matilda, she has an American father and a Panamanian mother.
