Jasmine said, “I like the name, it’s beautiful. And it’s my favourite movie too.” She believes it’s a “beautiful” name, and she also loved the movie. Apparently, this movie is from 1996, and it documents the entire journey of a little girl’s adventures. And what about the meaning of this name? Well, many sources confirmed that Matilda is basically the Anglicized form of the Germanic feminine title Mahthildis.
So, Matilda means “mighty in battle.” This name might sound cute and wholesome, but it has a super strong and fierce meaning. Viewers loved the name and the story it holds behind it.
