Since Annalyn liked the ring, she asked for the price.

The shopkeeper calculated that it was approximately $268. When the shopkeeper subsequently asked about the couple’s budget, Annalyn said they didn’t have any. That is because Jovon just took her out shopping, but they never discussed any budget. Jovon had a troubled look on his face after hearing the price. The shop ladies subsequently joked about Jovon not looking sure to disperse the tension.

However, Jovon hesitated to buy the ring for her and told her they would come back later. In his defense, he needed to sort out his bank statements. This created an awkward circumstance. His actions had undoubtedly embarrassed Annalyn in front of the shopkeepers. In a later confession, Annalyn confronted him about it.

She asked him why he would take her to ring shopping if he wouldn’t buy her anything. In his response, Jovon said it was to get an idea about her preferences and the price points.
