90 Day Fiance star Kara wanted to have fun with her son on the Fourth of July holiday in Coney Island, New York City. But things went down when suddenly a shooting took place on the Brooklyn neighborhood’s West 30th Street. The shooting occurred just minutes after the fireworks display. And only a short distance from where the celebrations had taken place.
As per the reports, at least eight people were shot on Saturday. This included four children as well. These children are reported to be all less than 15 years of age, and the victims were soon rushed to the hospital. Many of them are in a stable condition, while one 21-year-old woman is still fighting for her life.
90 Day Fiance viewers were in disbelief after they heard the terrifying news from Coney Island. They were quick to recall that Kara and her son were also at Coney Island, as she posted a picture of her son and shared her current location as well. Hence, fans reached out to Kara and wondered if she and her kid were fine or not.

Kara finally addressed the concern and thanked her audience for reaching out and checking on her and Nicolas. She assured her fans that she was lucky to be safe with her son and that they were both fine now. The celeb wrote, “I’m feeling so saddened by how people can do such horrific things.” Bass further shared a picture in which her son was happily enjoying his time at the beach while fireworks lit up the background.
Apparently, the New York police department commissioner, Jessica Tisch, said, “An unknown male dressed in all-black and wearing a black ski-mask approached the fence line and fired multiple rounds into the courtyard and then fled on foot.” Kara also shared a link to a news article that covered the entire incident. It was evident that a lot had happened, and Bass appeared to be deeply overwhelmed by what she had been through.
