But things went down when suddenly a shooting took place on the Brooklyn neighborhood’s West 30th Street. The shooting occurred just minutes after the fireworks display. And only a short distance from where the celebrations had taken place.

As per the reports, at least eight people were shot on Saturday. This included four children as well. These children are reported to be all less than 15 years of age, and the victims were soon rushed to the hospital. Many of them are in a stable condition, while one 21-year-old woman is still fighting for her life.

Apparently, the New York police department commissioner, Jessica Tisch, said, “An unknown male dressed in all-black and wearing a black ski-mask approached the fence line and fired multiple rounds into the courtyard and then fled on foot.” Kara also shared a link to a news article that covered the entire incident. It was evident that a lot had happened, and Bass appeared to be deeply overwhelmed by what she had been through.
