It was supposed to be a meet-and-greet, but it turned into a confrontation. The stern mother asked him what he liked about her daughter, Edward. He subsequently answered how, in Marissa, he found all the qualities he sought in a relationship: respect and loyalty. Then again, this answer did not impress Marissa. She insisted that he was not starting off the way she wanted him to.

Similarly, in a recent sneak peek from an upcoming episode, Edward made a sweet effort for her. He tended to the broken fences with bolts and iron he found lying around her house. He thought he was taking care of one of her troubles.

However, for Marissa, the patchwork was more troubling. She said that she appreciated him trying to help. However, she pointed out that her neighbors would think she kept her property in very bad shape. Edward subsequently pointed out that the neighbors did not pay his bills, so he did not care about their opinions.

But this fired her up. She insisted that she cared about people’s opinions, especially when it came to things that represented her. She additionally reminded him that she paid his bills, so she wanted the house to look good. Then she forced him to agree with her. Moreover, she ordered him to clean it up right then and there and called his handiwork a disaster.

She then expressed that the disastrous fence mortified her, so she wanted him to clean it up at that very moment. Marissa went out of her way to say some really demeaning words about Edward’s sweet efforts. This made him feel that whatever he does is never enough for her.
