90 Day Fiance: The Last Resort just began, and fans finally got to meet the new therapist for Season 3. TLC received a lot of backlash for bringing paid actors as therapists in the last two seasons. Some eagle-eyed viewers tracked down the therapists’ real occupations and accused the network of bringing in fake therapists for the show. Most of them didn’t even have a license to provide couples therapy.

They accused the network of failing to conduct a background check before hiring the counselors. TLC already faces a lot of backlash for fabricated drama and hiring paid actors to spice up storylines. But they were in disbelief when they realized that the network wasn’t even hiring the real therapist. Viewers called out the network for bringing untrained and fake counselors just to add more drama. Who are the new additions? Are they licensed?

90 Day Fiance: TLC Accused Of Hiring Fake Therapists!

90 Day Fiance introduced several therapists in the past for The Last Resort. Reba Corrine Thomas, Sarah Malone, and James P. Kelleher joined season 2 to provide couples therapy. Meanwhile, Dr. Jason Prendergast and Dr. Janie Lacy were a part of the pilot season. Viewers noticed the way Reba clashed with Florian at the Tell All. Hence, some viewers noticed her LinkedIn profile, where she introduced herself as a “Celebrity, Sexuality Educator, Entertainer, and Entrepreneur.”The reality TV star also wrote “clinical psychologist” on her page, but she is not a licensed psychologist.

Hence, viewers called out the network for bringing in an untrained, fake therapist. Later, a blogger, Shabooty, revealed the questionnaire that TLC uses to screen therapists before hiring them. Fans were surprised to see the network asking for social media handles, height, headshots, and full-body images instead of their professional qualifications.
