There’s no denying that 90 Day Fiance fame Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi have been a weird couple as much as they’ve been popular. On the other hand, the TV star recently went ahead and got five surgeries on herself in a single day. The surgeries include gastric sleeve reduction, liposuction on her back, and a breast reduction as well. The results turned to be life-changing for Angela. She has lost a whopping 100 pounds and feels much more confident in her new body. However, her husband, Michael, has never been supportive of this decision. In fact, he was strongly against the surgeries and had some reasons to give. Here’s what he said.
90 Day Fiance: Michael Explains Why He’s Against Angela’s Weight Loss Surgery
Getting such risky surgeries was an easy discussion for Angela to make. Even before getting them, she knew the danger she’s putting herself in. However, due to her health issues, she believed that not getting the weight loss surgeries would be more dangerous for her. As of now, Deem is on a strict diet and has been showing off her new body on her social. However, one person who was against all of this was her new husband, Michael Iselmani. In fact, previously, Angela even revealed that he was so unsupportive that she had to go through the entire journey alone.
Well, Michael’s reasons for why he wasn’t in support of his wife’s decision had been unclear. However, an exclusive sneak peek of the Happily Ever After? new season by Us Weekly has a lot to reveal. We see Michael and Angela talking about the same before she lost weight. He explains that he always gets emotional when the two of them talk about the “surgery things,” and he loves her the way she is. On the other hand, Ilesanmi also reminds his wife that he likes “big things,” which his wife assure are still going to be big after the surgery too.
Later on, in a confessional on the show, the 90 Day Fiance star talks about how many people in Nigeria have lost their lives after getting these types of surgeries. He also expresses that his wife wants to risk it all. Also, she only wants quick results, due to which she went through bigger surgeries in a single day. Well, as of now, it seems the 33-year-old still has mixed up thoughts about the same.

The long-distance relationship has been going hard on the 90 Day Fiance couple. In fact, Angela went ahead and said that the first year of marriage has been “hell” for her. Besides, Michael not being supportive of her surgery could be one part of why she feels that way. She has previously said that she got the surgery just because wanted to improve her health. However, the TV star also shared her insecurities with Us Weekly, due to her age difference with her husband. Angela explains that she would soon start looking more older, while her 33-year-old husband will continue to be as young. Hence, she wanted to get his attention.
On the other hand, she explained that her flirting with the doctor who did her surgery was only because she wanted to make Michael a little jealous. Later on, she also talked about how things are getting out of hand in their marriage. Hence, Deem has already warned the husband that she will be talking to a lawyer if she feels the need to get a divorce. Yet, despite everything, the 90 Day Fiance celebs also want to give their marriage another shot and try to fix between them.
