90 Day Fiance has been showing Birkan feeling insecure about Laura’s best friend, Michal. Now that Michal is finally in Turkey, things are already tense. Things only get worse as Michal tries to make small talk, asking whether women or men make tea in Turkey, but Birkan shuts it down with a sharp reply. When Michal brings up American movies, Birkan shuts him down again. At one point, Birkan says he likes Scarface and violence, which makes things uncomfortable. In the latest episode of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days, Birkan and Laura have Michal over at their place. Michal comes to Turkey to assess Birkan in person and to see whether he is a good fit for Laura. Birkan’s welcome for him is cold. Watching Scarface, talking about violence makes Michal uncomfortable. Then Birkan offers to show Michal Turkey around, a sort of guy time. For Birkan, if Michal tries to do anything, he’d “take him down.”

However, when they are out playing pool, Birkan gets honest and tells Michal a piece of his mind. He tells Michal that if he wants to make a move on Laura, he should go for it without playing games. He wants Michal to admit that he loves Laura. Michal replies that knowing Laura for one and a half years gives him plenty of time to make a move on Laura, if he wants to. Birkan thinks Michal does make a move on her, but he blows it. In reply, Michal drops a massive bombshell: Laura made a move on him, not the other way around.

Michal clarifies that the move was a strong one, the kind that one doesn’t misunderstand. However, he did not reciprocate it, and he never will. Laura’s made a move on Micahl long before she met Birkan. This news shocked Birkan, and he is in disbelief. He thinks Laura never mentioning this is the real problem, and not Michal.
