He remarked that he knew how to make a bed. But Marissa pointed out that it was not to her liking. She then pulled the sheets and tucked them in tight. Moreover, she insisted that every layer needed to be tucked in very tightly. Then she turned her focus onto the pillows. All the lines and patterns on the pillows had to face upwards. The patterns on the pillows could not face sideways or downwards, but just upwards.

She herself acknowledged that she was a control freak. But in her defense, she had been alone for 6 years, and she liked the way of life in a particular way that suited her. Edward joked about how he needed a class in housekeeping. He understandably felt that it was too much.

Edward subsequently jumped on the bed, giving Marissa a heart attack because, apparently, he was ruining all the hard work she had just put in.
