Rick, in a tank top, tried to make a good first impression with all his smiles and hugs. However, the following clip showed Rick and Trisha’s whole family sitting down in a tense manner. Trisha’s family looked agitated as Rick looked like he had no clue. In a later confessional, Trisha also expressed concern about how her family would react to Rick.

90 Day Fiance stars Rick and Trisha have finally reached D-Day to face the biggest challenge of their relationship. It is their visit to Trisha’s parents. Needless to say, he is doing his best to win over his girlfriend’s family. But as Trisha said before, he had no idea what he had gotten himself into. But a recent clip showed that he was about to find out!

In a recent clip, Trisha said to Rick that her father would show him the bathroom. “I smell something already,” Rick subsequently joked. As the relative showed him the “toilet,” he faced the biggest culture shock of his life. “Oh hell no!” he screamed out, surprised. Turned out the toilet was a wooden setup with a big circle cut out in the middle.

Her father kindly went inside to show Rick how to use everything. He squatted down onto the seat and demonstrated how to wipe with writing paper since there was no toilet paper. When Rick turned to Trisha in surprise, she let out an anxious laugh. She was embarrassed by his reaction in front of her father. Rick has grown up in the States all his life without having to spare a second thought about a proper toilet setup.

He has never in his life used anything other than toilet paper. However, in third-world countries like Madagascar, a good toilet setup is still a luxury in some remote areas. This showed the stark contrast in the quality of life between Trisha and Rick, and was one of the reasons they are set apart.
