The TLC star had revealed that he had suffered from addiction in his teenage, but he was clean now. Fans also had questions about his jaw shape and teeth. Many had made fun of him. But many people had sent encouraging messages to Sam as well. And because of this positive response, Sam now feels he’s like Taylor Swift.
90 Day Fiance: Sam Feels His Fans Are Similar To “Loyal Swifties”
Being a reality TV star is hard. People are always watching you and pointing out even the slightest of imperfections. Often, people also make fun of these imperfections and make you question yourself. But some people are sympathetic and often support the stars in their difficult times. Sam might have also experienced the same with his fan base.
The 90 Day Fiance star had revealed his past addiction problem. But he added that he had been clean for a while, and the doctor had prescribed him Suboxone. Then there was his ‘misshapen’ jaw, making the fans question if Sam’s addiction led him to lose his teeth. But Sam explained that wasn’t the case. His face shape was due to his Irish ancestry.
While a large chunk of fans were making fun of Sam, there were also his supporters. The former group had much to say about him being a bad and unreliable person. But the latter had sent him very supportive comments and encouraging comments. So, Sam took to Instagram to thank these loyalists.
The 90 Day Fiance star had posted a photo on his Instagram story. It was a selfie of him with his dog. Sam told the fans he felt “like Taylor (Swift)” because he had his own supporters, too, like Taylor’s “Army of Loyal Swifties.” In a cheeky addition, Sam also wrote, “Let’s go, chiefs.” He was poking at Taylor’s relationship with Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelse.
90 Day Fiance: Sam & His Issues
Fans got to meet Sam in the latest season of 90 Day Fiance. He was in love with his Indonesian girlfriend, Citra. She is a Muslim, and Sam loves her so much that he even converted to Islam to marry her. But there were other roadblocks in the path of marriage as well.
Sam had been a drug addict in the past, but he was clean now. However, he had been in legal trouble and hidden it from Citra. Apparently, the doctor had prescribed him Suboxone to help him with his addiction. When he went on a business trip, the police stopped him and his associate and checked their car. They found the Suboxone without the bottle and arrested Sam.
The star had opted for a diversion program to escape jail time. But he had missed one of the deadlines and could face jail time. Sam did tell Citra all of this after she came to the US.
