The Discovery Plus star went live on TikTok, wandering shirtless in a Washington park a few days before he vanished. Bear informed viewers about his older brother’s sudden disappearance later in a video.

He feared the worst for his brother after some locals spotted him wandering near the river. The reality TV star informed viewers that a person called 911 to report a floating body in the river. The CPS reached the location and found a gun that might belong to Matt. Hence, Bear feared that his brother might have taken his own life.

Matt Brown was raising concerns about his disturbing behavior in the last few weeks. He has been showing signs of drug and alcohol addiction along with mental health issues. Bear also suspected that his brother might have taken his own life. He informed Alaskan Bush People viewers that his other brother, Noah, was trying to find their brother with the help of the search team.

Recently, the latter uploaded a video confirming his brother’s passing.  He informed viewers about identifying Matt’s body after finding it in the Washington River. The reality TV star shared that he was working with the search group and they located his brother’s body at 3:27 p.m on May 30, 2026.

Noah got emotional as he shared the details of the search operation and confirmed his brother’s passing. He thanked everyone, especially those who helped him find his late brother’s body. The Discovery Plus star was present at the location when the search team pulled Matt’s body.

Brown stated, “We hauled him up off the bank. And then, after the sheriffs got there and everything, the coroner did his thing.” He visually identified him as Matt, and the officials also found his ID and Social Security card.
