Baylen’s awareness campaign does not stop with fame. She also uses her platforms, with over a million followers, to talk about issues affecting the Tourette’s community. She does it with grace and in a way that educates rather than shames. The reality star recently appeared on a podcast where Baylen dropped another tic, prompting the host to agree with her. What x-rated tic did she utter, and how did it fit the discussion? Keep reading for the hilarious scoop.
Baylen Dupree-Dooley recently opened up about her famous French tic in a post on TLC. The Baylen Out Loud star has Tourette’s syndrome, which causes involuntary vocal and motor tics. Fans already know some of her most common tics, like yelling “Colin!” or doing her “wind it up” hand gesture. But her French tic always gets the most attention. Baylen says, “Je m’appelle puta oui croissant,” which loosely translates to “my name whore yes croissant.” Even Baylen admits it makes zero sense, but that is how Tourette’s works sometimes.
Baylen continues to use her platform to spread awareness about Tourette’s and educate people about involuntary tics. She also supported David Johnson after his BAFTA moment, in which he shouted a racial slur due to a tic. Baylen explained that slur tics do not reflect a person’s real beliefs or personality. Through her show and social media, Baylen hopes to spread awareness about it.
Baylen’s tics are quite funny. The Baylen Out Loud star has timing right when it comes to saying her tics, involuntarily, of course. One recent event was her appearance on a podcast with Howie Mandel. The Howie Mandel Does Stuff talked with the recently married Baylen Dupree-Dooley. While talking about marriage, Howie said he has been married for 46 years. His co-host, Jackelyn Shultz, asked Howie if he had any words of advice. Before Howie could answer, Baylen said her famous tic, “Suck dick.”
Baylen’s tic caused Jachelyn to burst out laughing. Howie, on the other hand, gestured and shrugged, approving the ‘advice.’ While Baylen tried to stifile her laughter, and Jackelyn audibly laughed, Howi nodded in approval, a smirk on his face. Baylen’s tic timing was impeccable, and, clearly, Howie agreed. The otherwise serious topic of conversation took a U-turn with this simple Baylen tic. There has not been a clearer showstopping tic than this before, which was perfectly suited to the conversation.
Baylen’s tics are more pronounced in quieter places like libraries and churches. Her tics also get triggered by bald people, and when she comes under stress or fatigue. It is nice to see the podcast host understand that Baylen did not mean any offense by it and just went with the flow. This kind of understanding is what Baylen hopes to achieve when she spreads awareness for Tourette’s. For more updates, follow TV Season & Spoilers.
