Reality and Tiktok star Baylen Dupree-Dooley spreads awareness about Tourette’s Syndrome. She rose to fame after her TikTok blew up as she shared her struggles with it. TLC also gave her Baylen Out Loud to show what life is like for a person with Tourette’s. Soon, she became a champion and a known face spreading awareness.

Now, Baylen has her own TV show and sits down for podcasts to talk about how she navigates through the struggles. Recently, she opened up more about her life and how OCD causes the most intricate fears in her life. Apart from Tourette’s, she also has intrusive thoughts that can get really bad. What are Baylen’s fears? Do they make sense? Keep reading to know more.

Baylen Out Loud: Baylen Gets Botox To Ease Her Jaw Tics

TikTok star Baylen Dupree documented her cosmetic procedure for tics on Baylen Out Loud. She struggles with verbal and motor tics, including jaw movement. To ease this, she got Botox in her jaw. Botox partially paralyzes the muscle, which weakens the tic’s movement. It also reduces the urge that builds up right before a tic happens. So Baylen’s Botox serves a medical purpose, not a cosmetic one. Her husband, Colin, went with her to the appointment. Her aesthetician worked gently and gave her audio cues before each injection.

Fans reacted with support, saying Botox helped their own tics too. One fan even suggested she try other treatments as well. However, some trolls accused Baylen of faking her tics just to get Botox. Other fans with Tourette’s quickly corrected them, explaining Botox’s real medical uses, like easing migraines and jaw clenching. Once again, Baylen used her platform to spread awareness about Tourette syndrome.

Baylen Out Loud: Baylen Dupree Opens Up About Her Deepest Fears And Living With OCD

Baylen Dupree, the star of TLC’s Baylen Out Loud, got candid about her ongoing battle with OCD and the fears tied to it. She explained that she often gets negative, intrusive thoughts. These thoughts even spiral into fears about death. Simple daily tasks, like getting into an Uber, make her worry. The TikTok star imagines getting into a car accident, breaking a bone, or even dying. All these fears sometimes stop her from leaving the house at all.

Baylen also shared that her OCD made her a germophobe. It leveled up to the point she even avoided drinking after her husband and refused sweaty hugs or handshakes. She said hands carry more germs than people realize, so she preferred hugs over handshakes. Her OCD also shows up in the urge to repeat small tasks, like turning a shower knob or opening a door three times. These repetitive actions often calm down the anxiety the OCD creates.

Baylen lives with several other conditions alongside her OCD. She deals with Tourette syndrome. She has described Tourette as just “the iceberg above the water,” meaning people only see part of what she goes through. Medication helps some symptoms; she has been going to therapy for a long time. Her Tourette’s got so bad in the past that she couldn’t even eat by herself. Thankfully, with the right medication and therapy, she is getting better and can live a more independent life.
