On the other side, Danny spoke to Kristen, who had booked a cab and later on had to go through an attempt to rape incident. In a press conference, Frank awards detective Allison Mulaney the Police Combat Cross who is in a wheelchair after she was wounded in the line of her duty. Veronica Brooks’ mother contacts Erin. Erin is contacted by Veronica Brooks’ mother, who says she knows Erin will do the right thing. Baez then reaches out to the rideshare company. He then traces the black car to its owner, who is named Denis Strand. Baez, later on, comes to know that Strand, a number of times, lets Leo use his car. Finally, Baez and Danny track Strand as he drives his car and a woman hostage with duct tape around her mouth. Danny handcuffs him and takes him into custody.
Erin meets Brookes’ mother and the Farmer, where he concludes that they need to find a solution that all of them can live with. Later on, Frank meets Allison and informs her that she has got a call from Chief Ellison regarding a spot that very recently opened up in his command. She thanks him for the offer but did not accept it. Allison says that she is a squad detective and wants to continue being that.
