The Chrisley Knows Best pair, Todd and Julie, spent their first Christmas behind bars. However, they weren’t the only upset ones. Even Savannah and the rest of the kids were sad as they missed their parents. There was still a silver lining – Todd and Julie’s appeal had progressed.
Everyone had rejoiced at the “Thanksgiving win.” However, sad news quickly followed it. The court delayed the pair’s new appeal date to April 2024. Julie and Todd were really upset because of the news. But the Chrisley clan still holds hopes. Read more to know the details.
Chrisley Knows Best: Julie & Todd Unhappy About The Delayed Appeal Date
All the Chrisley members were pleased that the court had progressed with Todd and Julie’s appeal. Savannah even coined it the “Thanksgiving win.” The Chrisley Knows Best pair was looking forward to being with the family soon. But their happiness soon turned to ashes.
The pair’s attorney, Jay Surgent, told RadarOnline that there was a new appeal date. Apparently, the court delayed the appeal date, and the new date was in April, not March. Todd was understandably “(un)happy” about the change. However, the star was still “content with the oral argument.”
Julie and Todd’s family also heard the news. But they still hope the Judge might consider reversing the prison sentence. The family hopes the Judge will give “full consideration” to Todd and Julie’s arguments. However, some fans really doubt this. They don’t feel it will happen and are calling the family delusional.
Even with the sad news, the Chrisley Knows Best kids have some ‘festive’ plans. They are thinking of visiting their parents in prison. Jay Surgent said that the kids want to be with their parents on Christmas “even if it is in an institution.” But the family is holding hopes of celebrating the holidays together next year.
Chrisley Knows Best: Nanny Faye Is “Concerned” About Todd & Julie’s Hearing
Nanny Faye is Todd’s 80-year-old mother. She was also one of the stars of Chrisley Knows Best. Nanny is currently battling cancer. But the matriarch might have more emotional pains in store. Jay Surgent revealed that Nanny Faye is getting more “concerned for the family.”
Surgent revealed that Todd’s mom is “doing okay.” However, the attorney added that “she’s been very quiet”. Nanny is also becoming anxious as the hearing date draws closer. Like the whole family, she also hopes that Todd and Julie can get out of prison fast.
While the kids plan to meet their parents in jail, Nanny won’t be joining in. Jay explained that Nanny is 80 years old, so the traveling is “a lot at her age.” But Jay did add that Nanny Faye is “feeling well.” So, the fans have nothing to worry about on that front.
Todd and Julie will still have to spend Christmas in prison. But they are hoping to be with their family during the next holiday season. For more such news, check out TV Season & Spoilers.
