Julie and Todd have been serving their time in prison since January 2023. As millionaires, prison life has been hell for them. Despite all of this, the Chrisley Knows Best pair is trying to make it through their punishment.
In a new update, Todd and Julie are waiting for their appeal hearing in April 2023. They have a chance to appeal for an early release. And there might be a big news for Julie. The Court might release Julie as soon as 2025!
Chrisley Knows Best: Julie Has A Chance Of An Early Release
While Julie and Todd are serving their time in prison, they are still holding out hope. The Chrisley Knows Best stars are looking forward to their hearing in 2025. Julie and Todd hope the Judge might hear their arguments and reduce their sentences. And in Savannah’s podcast, the couple’s attorney revealed that Julie has a chance of coming out of prison in 2025.
Attorney Alex Little made a guest appearance on Todd and Julie’s daughter Savannah’s podcast. In the Unlocked podcast, Alex answered fan questions about the pair’s prison sentence as he is their attorney. While answering the questions, Alex made a big reveal about Julie’s prison release.
Talking about Todd and Julie’s upcoming hearing, Alex revealed that the pair had a “slim” chance of an early prison release. However, he hopes that they can still get bail. But Julie might be luckier than Todd. Alex told fans that she might get an early release regardless of whether the Chrisleys win or lose. The “errors” in her original prison sentencing can help her get home early. But even if the situation of resentencing arrives, the Court might “substantially reduce” Julie’s sentence.
Alex added that if the court awards Julie a 3-year sentence, she’ll still be out “sometime” in 2025. However, all of these are just some of the possibilities. Alex wanted to be both hopeful and realistic about the hearing. But he does think that if the Judge considers the First Step Act, Julie can be home as early as “this year, (or) early next year.”
Chrisley Knows Best: Todd & Julie Haven’t Communicated In 13 Months!
Being in separate prison facilities wasn’t easy for Todd and Julie. They were away from their family and each other. Julie was in Lexington, Kentucky, and Todd was in Florida. But fans assumed they at least had each other to talk to and share their difficulties with. However, that wasn’t the case at all.
In a shocking revelation, fans learned Todd and Julie haven’t talked with each other since they went to their separate prisons. This means the Chrisley Knows Best couple had no communication in the last 13 years. According to an insider’s revelation to Radar Online, this was due to the prison authorities. The standard procedure dictates that couples can talk to each other after the warden’s approval.
Julie and Todd’s lawyers had put in the communication request for the pair. While Julie’s warden approved, Todd’s didn’t. According to insider reports, the denial was in retaliation to Todd and Savannah’s testimonies about poor prison living conditions. However, a prison representative stated that the request was denied “for privacy, safety and security” reasons. Want more of the Chrisley Knows Best shenanigans?
