The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office booked him for domestic assault, public intoxication, and disorderly conduct. Additionally, he had three charges for assaulting a first responder and resisting arrest.

The couple has to adopt their granddaughter legally because their son dipped his toes in legal matters, and her mom allegedly turned her back on her daughter. 

Before Julie and Todd surrendered to their respective federal prison facilities, they awarded Savannah with guardianship of Chloe. Therefore, she didn’t permit Kyle to have visitation with his girl. Savannah bestowed the right to decide who can contact Chloe. As of 2025, the father couldn’t access his biological child, attributing it to his sister’s desire to protect her niece(sister). She wanted Chloe to be untouched by Kyle’s past behavioral issues.

Serious charges are on Kyle’s head after his shocking arrest drama last December. US Weekly exclusively brings the news of his charges of assault, public intoxication, and much more. On 2nd June, 2025, a judicial panel in Rutherford County, Tennessee, hit the Chrisley Knows Best star with 9 new counts in addition to his previous charges.

As per the official court documents, Kyle has three counts of assault on law enforcement, three counts of retaliation for earlier action, one count of avoiding arrest, one count of messy conduct, and one count of public inebriation. Furthermore, the indictment alleged that Chrisley’s son intentionally and illegally assaulted an officer on duty.

Kyle struck the officer with his hand or fist, apart from threatening him to kill if he didn’t stop arresting him. He used force against him, which is a criminal offense. The documents cited his substance use in a public place, which caused disturbance. Upon his persecution filing, his domestic violence charges have been taken off.

Kyle got bail with an $88,500 bond. His trial is scheduled for July 23. When US Weekly contacted him for his public statement, Sheriff Mike Fitzhugh, in a press release, presented Kyle’s wife, Ashleigh’s declaration.
