Chrisley Knows Best: Julie Sees A Ray Of Hope After Court Vacates Her Sentence!
Chrisley Knows Best stars Julie and Todd have been behind bars after the convictions against them for the $30 million bank fraud. The couple has several allegations against them for conspiring to defraud community banks. Julie Chrisley has been facing equal charges throughout the scam. But it seems that she may be out of prison sooner than expected.
Recently, the reality TV star and her husband went to appeals court with their request. Fortunately, Julie saw a ray of hope after the penal ordered the lower court to re-calculate her prison sentence. She has already spent 15 months away from her husband and kids in prison. The USA Network star’s attorney, Little, accused the prosecution of working with the witnesses for “misconduct” in the case.
He made an appeal in front of the three-judge panel and alleged that the IRS officer also lied to the court. Little accused the prosecutor of failing to knowingly stop the IRS for the false testament that the pair still owes them taxes. Later, the court ordered a re-sentence of Julie’s sentence after finding only one error in the judgment. The judge stated, “The problem is that we have not located the evidence the district court relied on in adopting that finding.”
He couldn’t find enough evidence to prove that Julie was also involved in the fraud when the scheme began in 2006. Moreover, they found enough evidence for the fraud conspiracy from 2007. Julie’s lawyer was happy with the judgment and hoped to get more good news in future. Further, he added, “But we’re obviously disappointed that it rejected Todd’s appeal.”
