Coronation has finally decided to bring out one of its previously hinted storylines. This time, Aby Webster (Sally Carman) will take the centre stage. The show has teased new snaps from the set, see Abi handing out some cash to drug dealer Dean Turnbull. Dean is a familiar face to Coronation Street fans. He’s from Abi’s past as a recovering addict. The famous mechanic bought drugs from him when she relapsed, but is that what’s happening in these new filming pictures? Read to know more!
Coronation Street: Is Aby In Danger?
In the upcoming spoiler video, Aby Webster is handing cash to drug dealer Dean Turnbull. Coronation Street cast members were seen on-location shooting the intense scenes with Sally. Aby looks happy as she receives a brown bundle in exchange for a money roll from Dean. Dean was introduced almost two years ago when Abi was addicted and stole a car while high, speeding away from the cobbles. Abi discovered she was pregnant when Dean rushed off and left her by the road.
Additionally, the drug dealer made a comeback in Coronation Street earlier this year by harassing Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney), his debtor. Cassie asked him to go, saying she didn’t have the money, but he instructed her to bring it by nightfall. Cassie desperately searched the garage petty cash container for the money, but Abi caught her. Abi demanded the truth, and Cassie said she was clean, so Abi found a solution. Abi told him that if he kept asking Cassie for money, she would report him to the police.
Corrie producer Iain MacLeod had already promised a “massive culture clash comedy” between Aby and a prior character earlier this year. He informed that it isn’t sure if it’s Dean, but they’ll “be the last possible person you’d expect to find in her backstory. In an interview, he stated, “She meets somebody from her past she has a historical connection with, who is the polar opposite, so it’s an odd couple story,” So, let us see what Aby and Dean have got for us this time.
