According to Coronation Street spoilers, DS Swain detects ‘suspicious elements’ that made her take Roy into custody. However, when Swain interviews Roy, his honesty and vulnerability pique her interest, yet also raise doubts about his intentions towards Lauren.

The case turns into a full-blown murder mystery after Swain and Tinker visit Lauren’s flat, per Coronation Street spoilers. The actress says that the police officers find some blood on the curtains and there’s also human tissue.

Regardless of others’ opinions about Roy, Swain remains committed to serving as ‘the victim’s voice.’

When asked whether Swain believes Roy is the culprit or if she has doubts, Vicky responded that it’s not Swain’s place to make such judgments. Coronation Street spoilers say that Swain’s role is to gather all evidence, corroborate every detail, and present it to the CPS and, ultimately, the court.
