The soap star also shared her character’s tragic end in Coronation Street. Labeling her exit scenes as ‘dramatic,’ she revealed that they air in the next six weeks. Jodie stated, “It’s very dramatic, and I’m quite scared to film it. There’s a very dramatic bit with Glenda, and her life is in jeopardy.”
The Coronation Street star shared that her new show will be staged at Hope Mill Theatre on February 25, 2024. She expressed that she has been a part of Hope Mill for quite a long time. Prenger said, “We did Johnathan Harvey’s Hushabye Mountain there and then got involved with Maureen Lipman doing a fundraiser there.”
Talking about the owners of Hope Mill, the soap actress said they are just two boys who want to keep the theatre culture alive in Manchester. Additionally, Jodie’s Coronation Street co-stars, Emmerdale and EastEnders icons, will join her. The star-studded list includes Peter Gunn, Angela Lonsdale, Tom Lister, Harriet Thorpe and more.
Moreover, the actress credited Paul O’Grady, who made this happen. She quoted, “The makers were talking about it, and he said, ‘Oh, our Jodie should do it!’ So, it’s kind of a nod to him, but we also want to raise lots of money to keep them going. They’re brilliant.” For more Coronation Street updates, keep checking TV Season & Spoilers!
