Coronation Street Star Will Mellor has finally talked about his thrilling comeback as Harvey Gaskell. His arrival was announced back in October. He last appeared on the show when his evil character was sentenced to prison for the accidental murder of Natasha Blakeman. Recently, the actor revealed the reason behind returning to the soap. He said, “I love playing Harvey, even though he’s obviously nasty. He’s a narcissistic gangster, and I don’t get to play those characters a lot.”
Expressing that people loved his character, he shared that producers said they have his storylines in the store. The Coronation Street actor was 100% sure he wanted to return. “Plus, it’s my mum’s favorite show, and pleasing your mum is always a good reason to do something, ” Will said. In the coming episodes of Coronation Street, we will see Harvey being involved with half-brother Damon. The villains will make things harder for Sarah and Adam Barlow.
Previously, show bosses hinted at Harvey’s storyline, revealing that it will be intense. Producer Iain MacLeod revealed, “[Adam] will pay a little visit to Damon’s half-brother Harvey because he’s no fan of Damon’s either. They might form an unholy alliance. They have a shared problem in the form of Damon and think they can help each other in that regard.”
According to the showmaker, the storyline is packed full of twists, turns, and excitement. He added, “Dare I say it in this day and age, but it’s quite sexy as well.
