In the days following the Christmas festival, Duggars are indulging in a bevy of parties. Recently, they organized a gathering for an ugly Christmas sweater party at the Duggar family’s famous Springdale, Arkansas home. While the event got a great deal of social media attention, Jill and her family were missing from the snaps. Apart from the Christmas party, the family was not invited to the Duggar’s Thanksgiving celebration. In fact, the couple shared in their November Youtube video that they’d be spending Thanksgiving at their home.
We know that Derick has continued to share some unknown secrets of the Duggar fam. He has been candid about all the behind-the-scenes. Additionally, he never hesitated in mentioning how the Duggar system didn’t get along well with him. Although we assumed that he had a problem with Jim Bob only, the problems now stretch to Michelle Duggar.
Derick Throws Shade At His Mom-in-law, Michelle Duggar
Recently, Derick wrote a lengthy blog post on their family blog. It seems that he subtly shaded his mom-in-law Michelle. In the post, the reality star noted what makes an ideal mother. He shared that a good Christian mother shouldn’t be characterized by ‘donning skirts, having long hair, or tattoo-free skin.’ However, she is the one carrying out her responsibilities with character and wisdom.
He further added that some end up receiving the praise of their man. But there are some unsung heroes who ‘quietly provide the backbone of our families and the fabric of our society.’ Derick emphatically mentioned that Jill and his mother are such women.
Some fans speculate that Derick threw shade at Jill’s sisters, while others opine that he hinted at Michelle. One of the fans explicitly wrote that Derick could’ve written that Michelle ‘sucks as a mom.’ Whatever be the truth, Derick and Jill are well on their path away from the conventional family. They’re leading their lives with freedom and that should be the most important thing!
