It seems that Jess Duggar’s sister-in-law went out of the restriction zone and chooses divorce to be her option. Jessica filed a divorce against her husband Dwight Phillips Lester on May 21, 2021.
And, now The Sun reported that their divorce has finalized on June 29, 2021. Fans are aware that Jessica and Dwight’s marriage has not been a smooth ride. As per Jessica’s affidavit, she had to face “constant verbal altercations creating an extremely intolerable home environment.” Indeed, the star had to go through great emotional turmoil because of the same. Well, that was not it. Jessica claims to have had financial strain from the beginning of her marriage. The couple faced poor money management, and that was one of the reasons to push their marriage towards the end.
Counting On: Know On What Grounds Jessica Sought Divorce
Jessica and Dwight will not face any issue on the term of personal property. As per the reports, each one has been given their respective personal property. Moreover, both will be responsible for the debts held in his or her name. Jessica sought a divorce on the ground that Dwight subjected her “personal dignities” by destroying the legitimate end of the marriage. Dwight didn’t even resist any of Jessica’s allegations. He accepted all and signed the divorce papers. Jessica even changed her name from Lester to Seewald.
Dwight cleared in the court that the divorce is “uncontested.” It means that both of them do no disagree on matters regarding finances or other divorce-related issues. Moreover, Dwight cleared that he has never been involved in domestic relations case with Jessica or any other woman. Dwight further waived his rights to notice of trial, claiming no issue with Jessica’s sayings. Fans know Jessica has done what’s good for her. However, they also know that it must have come as a shock to the Duggars because they are not accustomed to divorce.
