Joy-Anna Hosts Big Christmas Exchange Party
The Duggars love Christmas for opening gifts, sing carols, and celebrate the birth of Christ. As the festival is right around the bend, the family is immersing itself in the Christmas-y vibe. Amid the pandemic, they found time to enjoy the festival with vim and vigor. Keeping up with the tradition, Joy-Anna hosted a gift exchange party at her residence. Jessa, Jana, and Michelle showed up along with the in-laws, Anna, Lauren, Abbie, and Kendra. The group pictures also had Anna’s daughter, Jessa’s sister-in-law, and a few of the younger Duggar kids.
As reported by The Sun, Joy-Anna shared a few pictures and wrote in the caption that she had the best time with her sisters. It appears that the ladies indulged in making their wreaths and sitting around with the little ones. Not to mention, all of them had a jolly good time. What seemed off about the pictures was the absence of Jill Dillard! Joy-Anna’s older sister was nowhere to be seen in the group shots.

We know that Jill has been breaking away from her conventional family owing to several differences. Since then, she hasn’t appeared at many family events and gatherings. The fans were quick to spot her absence in the family pictures. One of them mentioned how hard it must be for Jill to be ‘ostracized’ by her family and best friends because she wants to lead an independent life. They further hoped that the family might get back together in the future. Another fan added that they’re sad to see Jill not being included in this.
Fans Feel That This Was Filmed For The Show!
Some fans took to Reddit to deliberate over the matter. One of them wrote that they wish Jill was invited but refused to attend the party in the wake of COVID. Another Redditor commented that Derick did mention previously that the couple is not included in the gatherings. However, they added, Derick is not a reliable source. Another user claimed that the whole thing might have been filmed for the show.
