TLC

It looks like Counting On fame Josh Duggar’s prosecutors feel that the defense is just wasting their time trying to search for irrelevant evidence. The investigation about the 33-year-old reality TV star downloading child pornography began in May 2019. They traced to his IP address at his then workplace Wholesale Motorcars dealership. Let’s take a look at the details.

Counting On: Josh’s Trial In November

As the 19 Kids & Counting star prepares for his trial on November 30, his defense has been continuously requesting the government to provide other evidence. But they noted that the requested materials related to other officers are extraneous to this case. Therefore they are not discoverable.

The defense also filed a motion to claim the refusal of prosecutors to provide the necessary evidence. According to them, Josh is constitutionally and legally entitled to that. The filing of the official motion happened on July 26. Providing a response on August 9, the prosecution called the case straightforward and indicated that the defense is just trying to go on a fishing expedition for irrelevant or nonexistent evidence. Therefore, according to them, the government should deny the motion filed by the defendants.

Counting On: A Hearing Held On Friday

PEOPLE reported that a court docket indicated that there was a hearing on Friday regarding this matter. However, the judge hasn’t entered any ruling yet. Josh’s lawyers have remained silent regarding this even when PEOPLE reached out.

Not only does Josh had 200+ children’s images on his computer according to prosecutors, but there is also a 2006 police report suggesting an investigation for molesting his own sisters along with three other underage girls. In 2015, Josh allegedly was unfaithful to Anna, his wife. He also admitted to his struggle regarding pornography addiction. Like that wasn’t enough, he had registered on Ashley Madison and had active accounts on the website facilitating extramarital affairs.

But it certainly looks like these allegations don’t affect his seemingly dedicated wife who is standing by the father of her six kids. She is also pregnant with his seventh child. Meanwhile, TLC canceled Counting On and decided to take this course of action to provide privacy to the Duggar family.
