The latest Days of Our Lives Casting news suggests that viewers will get to see a new face on the land of Salem soon. General Hospital alum Richard Steinmetz recently revealed the good news. He took onto his Facebook account to reveal the news that he has landed a role on Days of Our Lives. This is great news indeed.

However, what we don’t know at the moment is what role he would come in for. Keeping in mind everything that is going on in the soap opera, we can expect him to come in with regard to either Ava’s mob family or maybe through some connection to Dan Feuerriegel’s upcoming arrival as EJ DiMera.

Regardless of what character he plays, the actor revealed that he would be starting shooting for his character soon. He called his role a terrific one. But, he did not reveal much information about it. He added that he would keep fans updated about what happens next and when his episodes would air.

Eager fans of the actor were quick to congratulate him on bagging this role. His Facebook post was flooded with congratulatory comments. One fan said that this is super cool news. They are very happy for Richard. Then they congratulated him. Another fan congratulated Richard and requested him to let the fans know when his episodes would air. This is indeed great news for the actor and all the fans.

Long-time soap opera viewers would remember that Richard first made his debut on the show Lovings as Jeff Hartman in the 1980s. Ever since then, he has been a part of a number of shows and soaps. Most recently, viewers got to see him in the role of mobster Joe Scully on General Hospital. Based on what role Richard is coming to play on Days of Our Lives, it will be exciting to see what he brings to the table. Richard is an amazing actor, and he will only bring fun to the soap opera.
