And, the chances of an uproar or even a backlash are high! But actress Martha Madison revealed that the team is prepared to face whatever happens! Days Of Our Lives: The Big Break-Up!
Belle Black and Shawn Brady are fan favorite couple on Days Of Our Lives. Many of their fans were left heartbroken when the on-screen couple had broken up previously. But, to their relief, the couple found their way back to each other! However, actress Martha Madison revealed in a recent interview that the winds are shifting once again. And the power couple is heading towards a fallout!
One would believe that after seeing a massive fan reaction towards the breakup the first time, the actress would be apprehensive of it a second time. But Martha has a completely different take on it! The star is in fact “very happy” with Shawn and Belle’s breakup! “The kiss of death in this business is being happy in a couple.” She recalled a TV producer once telling her. The actress is now excited about all the “other stories” the Days Of Our Lives can tell about these two characters.
Martha stated that she loved Shawn and Belle together. And she thoroughly enjoys working with her Days Of Our Lives co-star Brandon Beemer (Shawn). But, “you have to be willing to try new things,” she pointed out. Especially so on a show that has been on for decades! “I feel really lucky that they decided to do that with us,” she added. Because for the longest time no one wanted to mess with the couple, but then “it really leaves nowhere for us to go as actors.” Martha admitted. “So this has been really fun for all of us, we said, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah, mess them up. Let’s do it!’” She further mused.
Something Exciting is Coming Up!
Even though the move will upset a lot of fans, we have to admit this split opens the door to so many new possible stories! Martha hinted that there is always a chance of Belle getting serious with EJ on Days Of Our Lives. However, she joked that “I can’t imagine a wedding with EJ and Belle at all, but if they did, Sami (Alison Sweeney) would definitely be there.” That would surely bring a lot of drama to the screen, we believe! The talented actress concluded by saying that if the move brings a passionate response, then it’s a win! “that’s the point of daytime, right?” she exclaimed. And we have to admit she is right about that!
