Every soap has this one pair of star-crossed lovers who keep parting ways only to be together again. Days of Our Lives, find theirs in the pair of Eric Brady and Nicole Walker. The couple has attained cult status amongst their fans for their unfailing chemistry and soul-stirring romance. However, the once husband and wife are now divorced and in committed relationships with other people. But how long can star-crossed lovers can actually stay away from each other? Not too long, if you go by soap logic!
Eric is back in Salem on Days of Our Lives, and as expected, sparks soon started to fly between him and Nicole. So much so that despite the fact that he cares about Jada deeply, he still couldn’t resist kissing Nicole. Thus, kickstarting another round of “trying to find their way back to each other”. It did not take Eric and Nicole too long to come to the decision to leave their partners to be with each other. However, in true soap fashion, right after the big decision, Jada dropped the pregnancy bomb on Eric.
As soon as this came to light, speculations became rife that Eric will nip all plans of reuniting with Nicole on Days of Our Lives. It is no secret that Eric has been wanting to be a father so badly. Thus, chances are high he would choose his baby over Nicole. Furthermore, in a recent clip, Eric tells Nicole off to mind her own business and not intervene him and Jada. This added more fuel to fire that whatever was reigniting between them is already collapsing.
Days of Our Lives: A Reunion Still On The Horizon For Eric And Nicole?
However, in a recent chat with Soap Hub, Days of Our Lives stars Greg Vaughan, and Arianne Zucker (Eric and Nicole) shed some light on their character’s connection. And this might just be a hint quite contrary to current speculations. Ariana admitted that every time she has an emotional scene with Eric (Greg), it is always truthful and from the heart. She confessed that there is something in his eyes that makes her connect on a deeper level. It’s very special. I feel very fortunate to have emotional scenes with him.” Arianna declared.
Greg agreed with his Days of Our Lives co-star and added that he is very proud of her. Furthermore, he added that he feels fortunate to work with someone as talented as Arianne, and the trust they share makes it all so easy. Addressing the fact that he keeps stepping out and back in of the soap, he said he always loves coming back after a break. There is so much to explore that way, he admits. Moreover, he added that he enjoys finding out “what kind of trouble Nicole has stirred up”.
Arianne believes that there is still more at play when it comes to Eric and Nicole on Days of Our Lives. Nicole has grown a lot over the years and is the best version of herself when she is with Eric. Is that a hint that she will once again find a way to mend fences with Eric?
