GG began showing positive signs of recovery during her lung cancer battle. However, it appears that there is more to the story. Marian, or “GG,” has been tired of fighting the battle against the disease. Recently, she had an emotional breakdown with her son Deon about her deteriorating health. The Doubling Down With The Derricos stars expressed their feeling about GG’s new health battle. According to People, Deon and his mom sat with each other to cry their hearts out during Tuesday’s episode. In it, GG discussed the side effects of chemotherapy with Deon. She revealed that her white blood cells were very low, according to the doctors. As a result, she had a high risk of infection.
GG slowly broke down in tears sharing the news. She claimed that it wasn’t just a physical fight but a mental and emotional fight, too. The Doubling Down With The Derricos star sadly confessed that she could only fight that much while Deon tried to console his mother while crying with her. Further, the latter claimed to the cameras that he would be an absolute wreck if anything happened to his mother. Apparently, he was confused that he had to put on a brave face for his mother and kids anyway.

Further, Deon revealed that his mother has a unique and emotional connection with his kids. While GG didn’t want the kids to see her that way, they were hanging together and having a lovely time during their recent trip. The elderly castmate loves her grandkids a lot and likes spending time with them. However, Deon from Doubling Down With The Derricos revealed that GG could get sick around people due to her low white cells in the body.
Moreover, he claimed that she could get severely sick even with a common cold and cough. The father-of-14 also claimed how cancer made him very angry for not letting GG around her own people. He stated that his mother couldn’t technically be around them. Derrico’s father revealed that he was trying to be strong, but he couldn’t.
