The BBC Soap has ultimately unmasked the identities of the victim and killer in its Christmas episode. The episode marked the end for Keanu Taylor. The character’s demise took the fans by surprise as it was a time of celebration for Keanu and his partner, Sharon (Letitia Dean). 

However, in typical EastEnders style, things didn’t turn out well. As the couple got ready to exchange vows, Keanu was caught out for orchestrating Albie’s kidnapping with Karen. The truth resulted in Sharon calling off the wedding and revealing Phil to be Albie’s actual biological father.

The latest episode saw Linda Carter stabbing rampant Keanu as he tried to strangle Sharon Watts. He dropped dead, with Walters reaching the finish line for his character. After the big reveal, Danny acknowledged his challenges in keeping Keanu’s dramatic exit under wraps. 

He said that navigating through the hush-hush had been extremely difficult. The EastEnders Star acknowledged feeling deceptive to his friends and family, as he had to make numerous excuses. But Danny wanted a very compelling story for the audience. Consequently, he believed that his utmost efforts to conceal the secret had paid off.

Walters also praised the script. The actor perceived it as fantastic, with each character having a great storyline throughout the episode. He admitted experiencing a whirlwind of emotions and expressed the joy of being involved in such a project. 

Actor’s Reflection on His Character and the Soap

Commending the Christmas episode, Danny conveyed delight at being involved in such a great storyline. The actor also admired Letitia (Sharon Watts) and called her beautiful in the scene where she walked down the aisle. Furthermore, he added to having enjoyed filming with her and felt a sense of pride in reflecting on their characters’ journey. He also added that his character always wanted Sharon to be his wife, but obviously, his days were numbered.
