Ricky Awaits the Signal For His Return

Ever since Ricky Norwood left the square, fans have been very vocal about how they want him to come back. They have been taking onto social media to express their desires. While we know that the character was declared dead on the soap back in 2015, the hope is not all gone. Avid soap opera fans know that nobody is really ever dead on the soap. In fact, Ricky himself knows this and has weighed in on whether or not he will comeback to EastEnders.

Speaking to RadioTimes, the Eastenders alum said, “The thing with EastEnders is that anything can happen.” He continued, “I’ve got a lot of love for EastEnders, I’ve got a lot of friends and family that are still there.” And that the actor shares a strong bond with them. Norwood elaborated that many fans “keep telling” him about his returning potential because his character died off-screen.

Moreover, the actor commended the soap and noted that it has been on “such a high.” The former EE star also admitted to having enjoyed all the great storylines, especially the Christmas murder. Lastly, he confirmed his readiness, saying, “So if they ever needed Fatboy back in the Square, all they’ve got to do is give me a call.”

Norwood is currently getting ready to put on skates and participate in the TV show “Dancing on Ice”. He teased about his “high energy routine” with partner Annette Dytrt. The actor elaborated, “It’s going to be loads of fun, loads of flavour, and we’re definitely going to get the crowd up and going.” Ricky hopes the fans will love his routine.

Norwood’s Journey on EastEnders

Ricky departed EastEnders eight years ago after his character was written off. Ronnie Mitchell mistakenly abducted Fatboy, and it was later confirmed that he died off-screen. Nevertheless, we know that EastEnders has a long history of bringing back characters from the dead. Why not Fatboy?
