It has been a while since we last saw Ian Beale on EastEnders. However, that may change soon as Ian’s mother, Kathy Beale, is looking towards bringing her son back to attend her wedding. The latest spoilers indicate that the fine actor, Adam Woodyatt, who had been associated with the soap since 1985, will soon return to resume his role. The last anyone saw Ian Beale on EastEnders was back in January 2021. He quietly left town without whispering a single word to any of his family members. This came after an altercation he had with Sharon Watts. To whom he was married to at the time. The murderous Sharon also happened to be his best friend back in the day. However, everything fell apart when Ian found out that she was only seeking revenge for the death of her son Dennis Rickman Jr.
Later, Ian sent signed divorce papers to Sharon on EastEnders and also signed over The Vic to her. Actor Adam Woodyatt then returned for a brief cameo to the soap in December 2022. He appeared at Dot Branning’s funeral to pay his respects. Now it seems, Woodyatt’s extended break from the soap will come to an end. As we saw in the recent episode, his mother has expressed her intention of bringing her son back. Although, her finance, Rocky Cotton, seems a little doubtful about it at this point.
Ian Returns To Attend His Mother’s Wedding on EastEnders
In the June 14, 2023, episode of EastEnders, Kathy and Rocky finally decided the date of their wedding. Their wedding is slated to take place sometime in July, right after Rocky’s divorce with his wife gets finalised. The latest spoilers tease that Woodyatt will make a return in July. However, he may not return alone. Chances are that his first wife, Cindy Beale, will also return alongside him. It is interesting to note that Cindy was assumed dead back in 1998. So it will be interesting to watch how the soap works around that.
Currently, the EastEnders spoilers are also hinting that the upcoming episodes might reveal the mysterious Rose as the once-dead Cindy. So stay tuned to EastEnders on BBC to find out if Cindy Baele and Ian Baele return to the soap!
