EastEnders: Cheryl’s Cryptic Announcement and Cancer Experience
The former EastEnders star shared a selfie from the back seat of a car. Cheryl rocked an all-black outfit and her natural curly hair. She asked at the top of her picture, “Are you still watching this space?” Moreover, in the caption, she teased that everything would be revealed, followed by a red heart emoji. Subsequently, fans were quick to speculate, with one suggesting, “Come on, Heather, dig your way out of that grave.” Another said, “Love you, Cheryl, please tell us,” while others hoped for a reunion with Shirley.
But despite her character’s popularity, BBC bosses decided to write Heather out of the show. A source told The Sun, “The decision has been taken to cut her out of the show before viewers tire of her.” The decision didn’t sit well with Cheryl, leading her to slam the show. The soap star called EastEnders “out of touch,” especially as ratings dropped. The announcement comes after Cheryl updated her fans about a health scare last month. She confessed to being in deep “agony” as she elaborated on her twenty-hour hospital visit to Blackpool Hospital.
Furthermore, the actress suffered from a mystery illness for which she received IV antibiotics every six hours. But that’s not all! Cheryl once also revealed about facing a terrifying ordeal when diagnosed with stage 2 womb cancer in 2015. The journey actress almost gave up on life, but there she is eight years later, sharing her journey to empower others. The EastEnders star received her diagnosis after symptoms like back pain and abnormal bleeding prompted further tests.
But everything worked out well for our beloved entertainer. Despite the lows, Cheryl is grateful to be alive and hopes her story inspires strength in women. Currently, the actress leads a happy life with her husband and two kids. Her husband describes her as incredibly resilient. Kudos to Cheryl for empowering others about the terminal disease.
