TV Season & Spoilers previously reported an update on an exciting EastEnders upcoming storyline! And no, we are not talking about the Christmas murder! However, this particular story has the potential to become the base of and actually metamorphose into the Christmas murder! In a recent media interaction, the soap’s boss Chris Clenshaw revealed that Linda Carter is going to face a rather unexpected shock this Halloween, which will leave her completely shaken.
Last Christmas on EastEnders, Linda Carter suffered a huge loss when her childhood sweetheart Mick seemingly passed away. The couple suffered a car crash that catapulted them into the river. Unfortunately, Mick downed in the waters while trying to save Linda’s life. She has since been struggling to come to terms with the harrowing loss. Thus, this Halloween will prove to be specially hard for her since it will be her first without Mick. And we all know, it has always been their thing.
But the latest speculations suggest that Mick’s absence will not be the worst thing that Linda faces this Halloween. In fact, a real horror might rip through her! If you haven’t guessed already, we are talking about Dean Wicks! The very man who raped her and left her traumatized in 2014. Dean was later chased away from Walford after he managed to secure a “Not Guilty” verdict for attempting to rape Roxy Mitchell. Here’s what makes us and many other fans feel that Dean could be on his way back!
Could Linda’s Halloween Horror Transform Into The Christmas Murder On EastEnders?
Linda Carter is one of “The Six” who tower over a dead body in the Christmas FlashForward on EastEnders. And so far, no one connected to Linda has surfaced as a possible victim of the mystery murder. Although, during the episode, Dean’s name was mentioned several times. Linda was visibly shaken when she noticed his picture. However, Kathy assured her that if he ever returned Linda would have a wall of friends to protect her.
Now, we can’t help but wonder if the said wall of friends are “The Six”, who ultimately end up claiming Dean’s life this Christmas to save Linda! Makes sense, right? Interestingly, Linda’s portrayer, Kellie Bright, told RadioTimes.com that she’d “be totally up for him coming back as it creates drama and story.” Furthermore, she added that although she has managed to process the rape and move on in her life, it has mostly been because Dean is absent. However, if he were to suddenly walk in the door, it would be very confronting.
What do you think? Would you like to see Dean return to Walford, and perhaps become the murder victim? Tell us in the comments. Meanwhile, stay tuned to TV Season & Spoilers for more EastEnders updates.
