Martin Fowler had been missing from the Walford scene for a while now. EastEnders spoilers explain that he had been visiting his sister Michelle in Australia. He jetted off there to support her in her recovery from a hysterectomy she had earlier. But, next week, he finally returns home. Actor James Bye had taken some time off to be part of a panto. But that’s in the past now, and the fans are all set to see his much awaited return on screen.
EastEnders spoilers say that the anticipation of Martin’s return will be anything but underwhelming. Next week, Stacey visits Denise to persuade her to reconcile with Jack Branning. Denise and Jack’s relationship had taken a hit after the discovery of the latter’s clandestine affair with Stacey Slater. Although Jack wanted to pursue a relationship with Stacey, they both agreed that he needed to return to Denise for the sake of her mental health.
Despite their decision to part ways, Jack and Stacey are struggling to keep their feelings at bay, confirm EastEnders spoilers. In the upcoming episodes, the duo fails to resist the magnetic pull towards each other and indulge in a kiss in the garden. And that’s when Martin Fowler makes his return! He walks in just in time to catch Jack and Stacey with their lips locked.
Shocked by being caught in the act, Stacey tries to convince Martin that it was just a weak moment and her affair with Jack is over. EastEnders spoilers say that she begs Martin to not tell Denise and keep what he saw a secret. Later, a conflicted Martin taps into Kathy for advice. She too, pushes him to sweep what he saw under the rug.
Unfortunately, Martin has no idea that his Godmother has a personal interest in keeping the kiss a secret.
