Jessie Wallace is a household name as Kat Slater of EastEnders. The actress has a huge fan following, owing to her extensive soap career. However, recently, she came into limelight, not for her body of work, but for the company she was spotted with. Earlier this month, Jessie was spotted chilling at a private VIP box alongside Kenneth Noye at London’s O2 Arena to watch an Elvis tribute act. For the unversed, Kenneth Noye is a notorious road-rage criminal, who has allegedly claimed two lives.
The 76 years old felon even spent time in prison for killing a motorist in a road-rage row. He was released from prison in 2017. He is now enjoying VIP treatment in corporate events alongside bigwigs, such as EastEnders star Jessie. Allegedly, the place costed £200-a-head at the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra event. A source claimed that the two of them were introduced earlier by a mutual friend. Furthermore, the source admitted that it was rather uncomfortable to watch Jessie sway with Kenneth at the event.
EastEnders Star Lands In New Controversy
Needless to say, this public appearance together sparked a lot of controversy for the EastEnders star. Ever since then. Jessie hadn’t been spotted in public. However, that now stands changed! The phenomenal star was spotted out and about in London with her family. Jessie took her young grandson out for a stroll, accompanied by a male pal. EastEnders star Kat was seen sporting huge smile on her face. She looked quite trendy and winter ready in her blue checkered coat. She paired it with some funky blue-rimmed glasses, and a fashionable pair of wide-legged trousers.
Perhaps the EastEnders star was hoping that a few days of downtime would drown the controversy she created by fraternizing by a sentenced criminal in public. Interestingly, this was not her first tryst with sparking such a row. Jessie Wallace was previously arrested for kneeing a police officer on duty. Keeping the episode in mind, a retired police officer said – “You’ve got the police killer and the police batterer together in one box.” It appears as though people, as well as, the media won’t be forgetting this incident anytime soon.
But we doubt that would have any impact on her spectacular performance as Kat on EastEders, or the popularity of the BBC One soap character. Currently, Kat is part of a really heated storyline, where her husband is keeping a dark secret from her. Which if revealed, has the potential to destroy their marriage.
