EastEnders star Perry Fenwick recently appeared on Kathy Burke’s podcast, Where There Is A Will There Is A Wake. During the conversation, he revealed the shocking tales of the touch-and-go incidents of his near-death experiences. Perry spoke about the time when he electrocuted himself at the age of three. As a toddler, he was playing with a bowl of soapy water on the rug, and then his curiosity got the best of him. The three-year-old Perry proceeded to poke his soapy wet fingers in the plug hole in the wall.
Perry recalls that at the time of the incident his mother was watching television across the hall from him. It must have been fright! The EastEnders star revealed that his palms were black for almost six months after the electrocution. Perry then went on to narrate another frightening near-death experience that he had as a child. He divulged that he fell off an iron bridge while his friends watched in terror. He recited that when they were kids, they would have this dare where they had to walk over the arch of the bridge. In one such instance, he wobbled, lost his balance, and fell 25-30 feet below.
Lucky for him, there was a stream under the bridge, and he landed on the mud banks without much damage. What followed next will have you in splits! The EastEnders actor admitted that the actor in him wanted to see what his mates would think if he acted dead. So he remained still and waited for a reaction. He recalls hearing the kids say “Is he dead?” ” Let’s call the police.” And then they were like no let’s not or we will go to jail. Perry then laughed as he narrated that the girl he fancied among his mates wanted to throw a stone at him to check if he was dead or alive. Well, what could one expect from a bunch of 10-year-olds!
