Theo Hawthorne has relentlessly haunted and tortured the Slater family all through the past year on EastEnders. However, matters hit the roof when the lecherous teacher tried to rape Stacey, after she rejected his advances. Now, he stands to face trial for the charges in court. Even though Theo narrowly escaped death after Freddie treated him to a iron pounding, it still has done nothing to break his arrogance or evils.
Right before the trial went underway, Theo reached out to Stacey on EastEnders, asking her to meet him. Initially, she refused to give him her time of the day. However, later seeing her daughter worry about the stalker, she decided to face the man. Stacey took a huge risk when she offered him an understandably empty deal. She misled him by saying that there could still be hope for them. She offered to pursue a relationship with him, if he pleads guilty and serves time.
As expected, Theo was livid by Stacey’s nerve and threatened her with dire consequences before storming off on EastEnders. In the November 28, 2023, episode, Jean worried for Stacey’s safety and urged her to not attend the hearing. However, Stacey put up a brave front and asserted that she wasn’t afraid of Theo anymore. Later, with Jack and Martin’s support, she arrived at the courtroom, where Theo greeted her with a smile before taking the stand.
Theo Makes All Jaws Drop With His Bold Move on EastEnders
In a completely unexpected turn of events, Theo confessed to the crime on EastEnders. He pleaded guilty and was ready to face the consequences. Obviously, Stacey was as stunned by it as we were. As the news spread through Walford, celebrations began. Her family came together to enjoy the evening. But a visibly shaken Stacey slipped away to The Vic, where she shared a drink with Elaine Peacock. Even she can feel it in her bones that this is not the end.
Could Stacey be right about this? Theo certainly did not have a change of heart over night. There is definitely more here than meets the eye.
