Rhona is in a pathetic situation after learning that her stolen embryos are being exploited. She was shocked when Marlon confessed that he ran into Gus and Lucy at the Emmerdale hospital, where it was revealed that they had stolen her frozen embryos and were having a baby. Rhona couldn’t bear the fact that Marlon had lied to her. She went to Gus’ place to look for him. Later, it turned out to be an argument between Rhona and Lucy, which resulted in Lucy going into labour unexpectedly.
When Rhona is still trying to wrap her brain around the embryo theft and the reality that her marriage is hanging by a thread, she gets to know Lucy died while giving birth.
