Emmerdale: Angelica Charged For Heath’s Death In Court
The mystery revolving around the tragic accident that took Heath’s life was finally solved after Angelica confessed the truth last week. However, even after learning that her daughter was the one driving at the time of the accident, Nicola continued to protect Angel. In the recent scenes of Emmerdale, the Kings are ready to face a court hearing.
Even though Ethan had already warned Nicola that Angelica would receive a custodial sentence, Nicola wished to save daughter by hook or by crook. She considered making Angelica lie, but Jimmy refused. She even thought about brewing up a story that Cathy forced Angelica into driving. Nevertheless, her hopes are shattered when she finds out that Cathy is off the charges now.
Then, the Emmerdale court verdict that the Kings were expecting- but had definitely hoped against-was delivered to them. Angelica was found guilty of death by dangerous driving. Unfortunately, she will have to bear the consequences that she isn’t even familiar with. Also, how will Nicola and Jimmy explain to Angel that she will go into a custodial sentence?
Bob Desires A Lengthy Prison Sentence For Angelica
After the court hearing, Nicola and Jimmy accepted the fact that Angelica would be sentenced to imprisonment. Till now, Angelica was carrying the notion that the court would send her to Community service in Emmerdale. Nicola reminded Jimmy, “She doesn’t realise she’s going to be taken away from us.” After much consideration, Jimmy felt the need to have Angelica sit down and explain everything to her.
Later in Emmerdale, Jimmy explained to his daughter, “The judge will have no choice but to sentence you to some sort of detention.” He informed that she would be facing a Youth Justice worker to know about her sentencing. Poor Angelica broke down and could not digest that she would have to stay away from home for at least a few years. She ran upstairs, expressing, “I don’t want to go away.”
Meanwhile, Nicola went on a walk to let everything sink in. But when she saw Bob on the way in Emmerdale, she couldn’t resist and walked up to him. She apologised and urged him to admit to Youth Justice Service that it was just a tragedy. However, Bob replied, “You want me to help your daughter get away with killing my son?”
Bob made it clear that all he hopes for is that Angelica ‘really suffer’ the consequences. He stated, “I want her to be locked away for ‘as many years’ as possible, and no matter the punishment, nothing will ever be enough for what the Kings have put the Hopes through.” It leads to Nicola feeling completely hopeless about her daughter.
