Emmerdale Star Emma Atkins Hinted At Her Character’s ‘Uncertain’ Future

Emmerdale viewers know that the Mackenzie Boyd kidnapping storyline ended with evil Harry’s death at Charity Dingle’s hands. Since then, Charity has been dealing with the guilt and trauma of killing someone. Recently, Emmerdale actress Emma Atkins opened up about her character’s emotional status. As per her, Charity is someone who has never even held a gun, and the fact that she did it all just to save Mack is very unbelievable to her. Hence, Charity’s trauma is beyond anyone’s comprehension, and she can’t relate to anyone at the moment.

Charity is getting flashbacks of the incident again and again. She is going through a brutal experience on her own. Additionally, the trauma takes her back to PTSD. Along with the present situation, she continues to be haunted by past incidents involving being abused at the age of 14. The Emmerdale actress shared that in the upcoming days, she might go into therapy. She confirmed, “I have teased about a therapy session, but it’s a therapy session that would last like a decade, surely! I think there’s probably too much to unpack in that one session.”
