Emmerdale Star Matthew Wolfenden Shares Insights From His Knee Surgery
Former Emmerdale star Matthew Wolfenden recently underwent knee surgery. Fans must remember that the star left his role as David Metcalfe after 17 years on the soap. Sharing constant updates on his Instagram Stories, Matthew kept fans in the loop as he prepared for the surgery and even posted a picture from his hospital bed.
With the picture, he penned, “Ready to go down for surgery on my knee.” After the surgery, the Emmerdale heartthrob provided another update. He revealed that the procedure took longer than expected but was successful. He wrote, “Repair to [meniscus], patella tendon, and cartilage damage all done.”
Additionally, the actor couldn’t stop praising the incredible care he got from the NHS and the staff at Harrogate District Hospital. He gave them a big shoutout and said, “Can’t tell you how amazing everything and everyone was at Harrogate District Hospital. Thank you.”
Then, the Emmerdale actor shared a pic of himself all patched up and ready to go home on crutches. He announced, “All fixed,” while giving a huge thanks to his personal trainer, Heather Scott Martin, for being there for him. Rumor has it that since his marriage to Charley Webb ended, the celebrity has been seeing his trainer.
