Emmerdale Star Makes A Confession- Know Why Exiting The Soap Was Her Best Decision Yet!
Fiona Wade recently opened up about how exiting Emmerdale has been the ‘scariest’ yet the best decision for her. Fans must remember Fiona as Priya Sharma of the Dales. She was associated with the soap for 11 long years. However, she made her last appearance back in 2022.
The actress’s exit scenes featured Priya moving to London for a job. After leaving Emmerdale, she is starring in the supernatural theatre thriller 2:22 A Ghost Story. Shows will continue to stage in locations such as Blackpool, Nottingham, Liverpool, and Bradford right up to June 15, 2024.
The soap star talked about the pressure of landing the right job after Emmerdale. However, she is relieved as her current project has been the best decision ever. Wade also highlighted the fact that how people assume that leaving soap is an overnight decision. But in reality, these decisions are made over many years.
When asked about the choice to exit Emmerdale, the soap actress replied, “It was a scary decision, but it was the right one.” She mentioned that theatre is more scary as there are no second takes. Nevertheless, Fiona was open to a change as she wanted to grow and challenge herself.
The seasoned actress shared a happy post with her fans on Instagram. Along with a picture from the stage, she wrote, “I am so excited to be joining the cast of @222aghoststory Playing the role of Jenny in the UK Tour 2024.” Wade continued that it is a dream to be part of this play. She added, “Feeling blessed and honored to be joining such an amazing team!”
At the time Fiona bid farewell to the soap, the 44-year-old actress expressed that it was one of the hardest decisions to leave her Emmerdale family. She stated, “When you’ve been somewhere for that long, and that’s your every day, it’s hard and feels sad.
