Leslie Charles plays the character of Monica Quartermaine in the soap opera. However, in a recent episode, we saw a new face playing the character. Actress Holly Kaplan took on the role in the March 15, 2022, episode of the soap.
Long-time soap fans would remember Holly Kaplan from her stint on Days of Our Lives. She played the character of Nurse Brenda on the soap. Recently, she took over the duties of Monica on General Hospital just for one episode. A lot of viewers didn’t even notice this. It was blink, and you missed recast. Holly Kaplan was the substitute for Leslie for just one episode.

Leslie talked to Maurice Benard, who plays the role of Sonny Corinthos in the recent episode of State Of Mind. Charles told him that she wasn’t really welcomed with open arms when she took over the role of Monica.
