General Hospital: Fan’s Voice Their Outrage
The whole of Port Charles and the viewers of General Hospital were left shocked by Brando’s sudden death. Actor Johnny Wactor’s fans, understandably, got worried that their favorite star would now leave the show. Their fears were confirmed when the actor reposted two Instagram stories from his co-stars, bidding goodbye to Johnny and his character Brando. If this wasn’t heart-breaking enough, we further had to report to fans that the actor was, in fact, forced out of the show!
Twitter is now abuzz with fans outraged at the treatment meted out to General Hospital actor Johnny Wactor. Rumours are rife that the star was informed of the abrupt decision of the production not renewing his contract on July 29th, 2022. Leaving Johnny no time to process his departure from the show. The actor worked hard to shoot six episodes! We really admire Johnny’s spirit and dedication here! No wonder the star is so loved by his fans!
When the latest news spread of the shockingly short notice General Hospital actor had received about his dismissal from the show, his fans were not happy. “It was a really crappy thing of them to do.” “Another example of the writers winging it.” “that’s not cool,” voiced some of his fans. However, there were also some viewers of the opinion that these things keep happening. “Isn’t that standard soap?” questioned one. “Happens all the time,” stated another.
Johnny Wactor Bids Goodbye
However, earlier today, the man of the moment, Johnny Wactor, posted a video on Instagram to finally address his departure from General Hospital. In the video, Johnny speaks about how overwhelmed he is by the fan reaction he has received post-Brando’s death. “I have been so blown away by the reactions of the fans,” he says. “I had no idea you guys cared so much about my character.” He expressed his gratitude to his fans for their support, saying “The fans of General Hospital are the greatest fans in the world”
Furthermore, Johnny added, “I am so lucky to have been on this show, truly…a show with such a loyal fanbase”. He admitted, “I’m truly gonna miss it” “it is unique experience to bring stories and characters to life.” Johnny shared that he thinks acting is the coolest job in the world! The actor was clearly emotional while saying, “I’m so blessed, I’m gonna miss you guys, thankyou for caring”. He concluded the video by thanking his fans for all the well wishes for his future endeavors, which could also include a return to General Hospital, he pointed out! Watch the full video below!
While we will thoroughly miss seeing Johnny on General Hospital, we have to give it to the actor for the dignified way he has handled his exit. We have witnessed way too many verbal spats between celebrities when such things happen. Johnny Wactor has truly won our respect with his humility.
