The stories on General Hospital are really quite intense these days. Thankfully, amidst all the high voltage drama, the makers have been bringing in relief by adding newer faces to the fold. Fans recently relished a joyful treat in form of actor Walt Wiley reprising his AMC character, Jack Montgomery for GH. In fact, the fan fare was so high that makers brought Walt back for a second stint! Furthermore, TV Season & Spoilers also brought you the news of actress Carly Hughes making her GH debut! But that’s not all! Fans are about to witness a blast from the past as a rather raved character returns!
The latest General Hospital spoilers reveal that actress Kassie DePaiva is all set to reprise Blair Cramer! TV Line is reporting that an ABC rep has confirmed that her episodes will start airing in September, 2023! Interestingly, Blair’s character first originated on One Life To Live, in 1991. The character was originally portrayed by Mia Korf. However, in 1993, Kassie took over and drove it all the way to becoming iconic. She portrayed the character till the end of the soap in 2012.
Right after OLTL was cancelled, some of its most revered characters crossed over to General Hospital. Needless to say, pot-stirrer Blair Cramer came to Port Charles too! She arrived in town to support her daughter, Starr, who got involved in a car wreck. During her stay in PC, Blair befriended leading lady, Carly. But here’s one twist! Soon after, the crossover characters became collateral to the legal tussle between ABC and Prospect Park over the rights of the characters.
To resolve the issue, General Hospital rehabilitated the crossover cast with new names and all the bells and whistles. Thus, Blair’s love interest, Todd Manning, played by Roger Howarth became Franco. Similarly, Alderson stepped into Kiki Jerome’s role. Circling back to Kassie’s Blair. The last time we saw her on the GH canvas, Todd was still there and she turned down his marriage proposal. Like we said, a lot has changed since then. In fact, Roger Howarth’s Todd is not even Franco anymore! He is Austin!
So we can’t help but wonder where Blair would fit in now? Will she channel her news reporter past and collaborate with Alexis at The Invader? Or could she shake up things with the mobster Selena Wu, and clash with her over Savoy? At this point, it is anybody’s guess! But we will find out the real scoop soon!
