In January 2022, Tracy Quartermaine returned to Port Charles on General Hospital with some devastating news. She informed the PC residents that Luke Spencer was indeed dead. Allegedly, the fan-favorite character succumbed to a cable car crash. A memorial was held for Luke following the news of his death. However, fans have been smelling something fishy from the very beginning of the track. They just weren’t convinced that their beloved Luke would die in a crash off-screen. Without any proper resolution to his storyline and closure to his fans.
The end story that General Hospital was trying to sell to the fans met no buyers. No one was willing to believe that a character like Luke would die such an ordinary death, so anti-climatic. It just didn’t plausible or fair by any means. Fans, to date, insist that there has to be more to Luke’s story. It somehow has to be a coverup for something big that Luke is trying to pull off. It seems that fans might be onto something! Because General Hospital just dropped a big hint that Luke could be alive after all.

In a recent episode of General Hospital, Bobbie outright accused Victor Cassadine for somehow being responsible for her brother, Luke Spencer’s death. Nobody talked about Luke all through last year. And now, suddenly, as the 60th-anniversary bangers approach, Luke gets name-dropped. We have been soap watchers for too long to write it off as a coincidence. Especially since there was nobody found after Luke’s alleged death. Nor was there any reference to anything Luke-related after the memorial. No one tried to find out what actually happened.
Now that General Hospital is approaching its 60th Anniversary, and some banging episodes are in line, there is all this talk about Luke’s death. We know that two women who have been closely associated to him are returning to the soap. Holly Sutton and Tracy Quartermaine both have a romantic history with Luke. Moreover, Tarcy was the last person to see him “alive”. In fact, she was the one who brought the news of his death to Port Charles.
If we connect those dots, it leads us straight to the possibility of Luke returning To General Hospital with a big bang. Spoilers have teased that in the upcoming episodes, many former characters will return to fight against a major villain. Perhaps Luke will return too.
