Ever since Nina started questioning her ability to cope with Sonny’s mob life on General Hospital, a massive question started to loom over the ABC soap. After Sonny was attacked at his warehouse by a sharpshooter, everyone around him has been on edge. Nina, perhaps, has been the most affected by it. She admitted to Phyllis that she thought she could co-exist with Sonny’s mob life as long as it remained veiled. However, after the attack the veil has thinned dramatically. During their conversation, Phyllis suggested that Carly dealt with Sonny’s life better than Nina.
And we know that is nothing but the truth. Not only was Carly okay with it, she even stepped in to run the ring when Sonny was assumed dead on General Hospital. Maurice Benard Puts A Big General Hospital Question To Rest
On March 28, 2023, General Hospital star, Maurice Benard, posted a video on his Instagram account. In the video, he encounters a dark feathered duck who acts as a stand-in Carly! Maurice goes on to ask her if they are going to get back together! And “Carly” answers with a defined No! The duck shakes its head to signal a no with such vigour that even Maurice looks amused! Well, it looks like Sonny and Carly fans will have to hold off their hopes of seeing a reunion any time soon!
General Hospital fans had a field day in the comments section. They had a good laugh but also took the opportunity to mention that Sonny and Carly are the best couples in General Hospital. Speaking of Carly, actress Laura Wright was exceptionally amused by the video and commented, “Omg, this is amazing.” She also did not lose the chance to tease her co-star for the oversized, comfy coat he is wearing in the video. So while Carly the duck seems disinterested in reuniting with Carly, Maurice and Laura’s camaraderie still gives us hope that perhaps one day Sonny and Carly will find their way back to each other on General Hospital.
